Sepahdari Seminary is one of the historical buildings remaining from Qajar era that was built simultaneously with the establishment of Arak Bazaar to the order of Yousof Khan Gorji, the great sepahdar and founder of Arak City. Sepahdari Seminary is considered the first school established in Arak (Soltan Abad). Sepahdari Seminary is the first urban building adapted from school styles of Safavid era with delicate and elegant tile works of Qajar period which is one of the current buildings in Arak Bazaar Complex. This school was converted into the first school of religious sciences in this city. Imam Khomeini and Ayatollah Golpayegani were educated here. It comprises of a mosque, water reservoir and other facilities. It has a comparatively large courtyard with a pool in the center.
