Mission of the Urban Planning and Architecture Department of the District

– Taking action to issue building permits, completion certificates, and certificates of no violation for applicants within the area under supervision and control, and overseeing the work of engineers supervising urban construction projects

– Taking action to control the affairs of supervising engineers and to certify the signatures of owners and office supervising engineers

– Determining the extent and manner of violations committed against building permits or buildings without permits by the owner, and completing and referring the violation project to the competent authorities

– Reviewing and implementing urban planning regulations in accordance with the country's current laws

– Handling and presenting cases of building violations in the relevant commissions

– Reviewing and taking action regarding the city's comprehensive and detailed plans

– Supervising construction operations within the district area in compliance with urban planning regulations and the Engineering System Law, in accordance with the city's comprehensive and detailed plans, in coordination with the supervision department, and preventing unauthorized construction

– Performing other assigned duties according to the superior's instructions
