An educational course on awareness-raising and addiction prevention for families living in the Qanat Naseri neighborhood, following the efforts of District 2 of Region 1 Municipality and in cooperation with the Provincial Coordination Council for Combating Narcotics in Markazi Province
It is worth noting that this course has been designed with the aim of increasing families’ awareness of the consequences of substance use, strengthening life skills (such as decision-making, problem-solving, emotion management, effective communication, and the skill of saying “no”), effective parenting, and preventing social harms among the neighborhood’s adolescents and youth.
Given the central role of the family as the first line of defense against addiction and the importance of skills-based and empowering education, implementing this program at Qanat Naseri Cultural Center, which is known as the hub of the neighborhood’s cultural and social activities, can be an effective step toward achieving the goals of the neighborhood development plan and improving social health.
